4 stars (I really liked it).
I loved the concept of The Kingdom so much that I knew I had to read it. Basically, in the Disney World of the future, the princesses are androids, programmed to be everything a Disney princess should be, which is treated as every bit as disturbing as it should be in the novel.
I loved the main character’s voice and how it gradually changed as she became more aware of her own needs and desires and also of the truth of the situation she was created to exist within. Overall, a fun read that made me think and made me wonder how everything would be okay in the end. Recommended.
