Day 4: Lego thinks all trucks have sirens.
The first truck toy Lego received was a fire truck, and it has sound effects. He loves to mimic the siren: “Wee-oo, wee-oo, wee-oo!” The problem is, he’s convinced that all trucks have sirens. It’s actually rather cute. I think, deep down, he knows that only fire trucks have sirens. But it’s just so fun to make the siren sound that he keeps making it when he sees any type of truck on the road or drives one of his toy trucks. “No, silly boy,” I’ll tell him. “Only fire trucks say ‘wee-oo, wee-oo.'” He smiles as if he knows it’s a joke and keeps saying it anyway.
Day 5: Lego doesn’t like wearing socks.
If he’s wearing shoes, he’ll sometimes leave his socks on. Remove the shoes, and the socks are off within minutes. All winter long, Lego has had cold feet, but when I suggest socks (or force them on him), he puts up a fight. I’ve given up on the whole sock thing. If he’d prefer cold feet to socks, I guess that’s his choice. I can’t wait for sandal season to come again, though.
