One of Duplo’s favorite tasks is throwing things in the garbage. For months, it was his self-assigned duty to throw his diapers in the garbage when I was done changing him. If I made the horrible mistake of just doing it myself, he would throw a fit. But it didn’t stop there. If he finds a wrapper or tissue or other piece of obvious trash lying around, he’ll often pick it up and put it in the nearest garbage can.
There was a period of time a lot of things that weren’t garbage went in there too. We are convinced that the disappearance of several sippy cups was due to his habit of throwing things out. I guess we’ll never know for sure.
